About
?architect's own description, for the glacier museum in fjaerland, Norway.
Sverre Fehn, the architect, designed a poem in concrete and wood. It catches one's eye within the unique surrounding landscape, (Jostedal Glacier, on an arm of the Sognefjord) with a simple and powerful ?checkpoint?. Getting to the museum, I had mind-boggled my friends about sverre fehn this and sverre fehn that; they were ready to toss me off the bus, when we saw the place; they got so excited that they started shouting: ?this is architecture, long live architecture?? :) ?and they weren?t making fun of me? :P I was on vacation, happy, with my friends, in front of true architecture.
(work in P.S.: levels, conversion to b&w, slight crop)
excellent eye Kosti ..the b&w effect confirm the harmony between the morphology and the context...great composition also between the ground, the museum, the mountains and the clouds. well done
