About Just playing around with another image from last weeks storm session. Desaturated, then cranked back the opacity with a sepia layer underneath. Thoughts on this effect?

Yes, Photoshop CS. I made a duplicate layer and made it sepia underneath. Then the top layer I desaturated (Ctrl/U then desaturate) about 75%. Then I took that same desaturated top layer and lessened the opacity about 50% to let the warmth of the sepia come through. Then a little gaussian blur and resharpening on her and that's it!

Louise, I just spent a few minutes browsing your portfolio, and I must say that I am very impressed. Your images all have a very tender "personal" quality to them. Not only are they lovely memories for the people you are shooting for, they are like a soulful expression as seen through the eyes of the photographer. No "cookie cutter" images here. Keep up the great work! I really enjoy your vision.
Kind Regards,
Melissa
