Hi Jennifer.. .Thank you! I try to include it just in case there is someone who can give me more information on the process or to get others interrested in it. I saw the process when I saw information on altered books and they were also doing photo treatments. Anyway, long story short...... The AGFA film I used may have been 100? I get my film from B and H photo/video and I like the color I get from AGFA.. it is sometimes cheaper too. Then it is color.. may have been the professional color.. I switch back and forth between the regular and pro colors. I used Mona Lisa gel in the typical 3 coat pattern.. horizontal, vertical then at an angle. Let it dry. Soaked to peel off backing paper.. not as easy as it looks. Then applied with more gel to a watercolor paper with more tooth to it. Probibly similar to cold press but it's 140lb acid free. Smooth carefully... then have fun with the sand paper and peeling at your choosing. I used my watercolor pencils by Derwent on top, applied water to blend and then wiped certain areas. When I scanned it I clarified tones, enhanced the edges a bit for more texture and cropped a bit. That's all : )But the photo was shot in color w/ sepia filter. Only coloring I did was slight hues to give a bit more depth... sorry this is soooo long. Tara

wow...great piece, tara. Thanks so much for including your process in the about - it's so great to read how people create these different works. I love the effect of the photo peeling away from the background & the texture that's created by that & by the paper underneath. I'm not familiar with the agfa film you used - was it colour or b&w? i'm not sure whether you used the pencils to colour the whole image or just the lines, scrapes on the piece....
