Thanks for the very good suggestion (I don't mind at all). I like the result you achieved a great deal and it is absolutely unnoticeable that the photo has been tampered with. I think it has enhanced the photo by quite a large amount. I will do more of this in the future when faced with this kind of difficulty. Bryan

Bryan, you could either crop it close enough without cutting into the legs and feelers ... the small bits of dark background are not that distracting.
Or, you could fill in the dark bits like I did here ... (hope you don't mind).
Nevertheless, your original capture of the wasp remains great.

Thanks for the excellent consideration, Linn. I also considdered cropping that (to get rid of the dark area), but ended up chopping off the leg and feeler. I ended up leaving it like it was as I thought it just worked best like it was...
