...but, here the whole impact is much more intense to the eyes... the lights and the corridors lines blend with fiery with the statue?s curves and the far electricity wires at the very back of the image... a perfect blending of a "there" and "another there" situation... makes me stare it for quite long time and finally decide that i like more this threshold of worlds in all its dizzyness.... congrats for both works though... really well done... kisses... emy :)

I like this one since there is more going on here, you captured so much in just one single image. Great job. sm..

@Tom, the knot is a sculpture in front of the vodafone building close to my home in Düsseldorf. The diagonal lines are holding a huge bridge about 500m behind the sculpture
Many thanks for your comment!

verena, interesting shot(s). i looked at both a few times and found that the knot itself is a bit more interesting in the other one. however, the vodafone sign is much more intrusive in the other one and distracts me greatly. here it is more subdued and i had to look for it to see it. it didn't jump out at me. also, the diagonal lines (cables?) in this one form a much more pleasing pattern. it also less cluttered. the primary mass of cables (the knot) is also better placed in this composition. this one is my favorite. it inspires quite a bit of curiosity. and here it is: what is it? a sculpture? or an unfinished telephone cable job?

Hi Verena, what I like about this one is the combination of the wiggly knot, superimposed on the straight diagonal lines in the reflection, but I find the elements on the other side of the window a bit too prominently visible. Other than that, a very close call between the two. Very interesting job!
Cheers,
Hugo

here we go! -had to untangle the knot from the street lamp thought it was a fan or turbine. -Dear Ms Verentrop, Why can't you just take simple photos of nice things etc. It is all very clever but confusing to take photos of reflections. I know it saves money but two very nice photos have really been spoiled here. Would have given this a seven but you really could have turned the camera around.
