Thanks for your comment, Alastair. I did use a tripod - it was extremely windy and I think that the tripod shook a bit in the wind (its a bit light - and I'll remember to ballast it with the camera bag) I'll try the USM as you suggest. Thanks.

Nice shot and wonderful perspective! Did you use a tripod though as the image seems a little blurred overall (obviously a slow shutter as the waves are blurred but the lighthouse and rocks also look a bit 'soft') Try a bit of USM in photoshop perhaps to bring it up a bit... Nice shot though!
