Wonderful picture, Jeroen! The bear looks very relaxed. It's always good to see some shots with film. I've been trying to use both film and digital, but my old Minolta hasn't been cooperating lately.
You have a nice portfolio. I am especially fond of the shots taken in Yellowstone.
Best regards, Bob

No Thomas. Flash would have done little (especially my flash which is a rather weak one).
But I don't agree with using flash on animals in any situation. It disturbs and blinds them, which is not good. At best they get scared, at worst they abandon food or young and/or become easy prey for predators.

Jeroen, are you implying that flash would have helped in this situation? If I was close enough to a bear to use my flash, I'd be terrified :-) Even so, it's a great shot, and I like the blurred water from the long exposure.

Glad he was dozing, Jeroen! Looks like a magnificent animal, what a huge head! Good shot! Dave.
