Seems like a nice peaceful spot with a wonderful view. An excellent job on the composition, I just love how the dog has sprawled out in relaxation under the shadow of the bench. You can just hear the "silence" of the moment, well done~

Yes, there is something mystical in the silence of a huge and loud city. I live here. That same feeling or thought has hit me many times when standing on a mountain looking down. It reminds me of something else: When I've taken a trip away to the country and fly in over L.A. on the way in to land at LAX, you can see the city to the horizon. It is so powerful and overwhelming, it makes my eyes tear up. And they are not tears of joy to be back... Also, I am a hangglider pilot and experience this all the time when I'm flying. See what you stirred up by this!? :) T.
