About to be honest, I love the composition, but this time there is a big BUT from my side...

I tried to convert in b&w, not satisfied
increased the saturation, this is the result, still not convinced

if you have any other ideas, I'm open

to have a 'perfect' shot, I would need to carry a lot of cleaning stuff with me...but I didn't ;)

hope you like it though

it would work slightly more for me id theer was more contrast around the interesting shape on the left, but overall it is an interesting minimalistic composition, like a lot of your work.

Good minimal and abstract work for me.
For the grass: for me u could get more of it in the shot to create a more "net" contrast between the two areas (IMHO).
MY best regards.

Hi Hugo,

hope to have the chance to reproduce it before the deep winter arrives in Helsinki, I know this discussion is not new between us, but seems I'm still not convinced ;)

Cheers,
Verena

Hi Verena, this one bears the Rentrop sign.... The good thing is, that a "perfect" shot does not exist, and I can see why you left it in colour...

The tones are fine, as are the textures. The division in three areas and the relative size of those areas also seems well balanced...

I only think the angle of roughly 45 degrees is too obvious; a 30 degree or less angle with the horizontal would create a more harmonious image, IMO. I know we've discussed this before, but I think it's more of an angle issue than a tonal / hue thing....;o)

Cheers,

Hugo

jou, so geht's mir auch oft, sitze an 'nem bild, was ich eigentlich mag, versuche dran rum zu basteln, verwerfe, versuche was neues.....hmmm.....finde das eigentlich recht schön aufgebaut, auch mit den unterschiedlichen farben...aber ich kann gut nachempfinden was du meinst hier...

I like it!! it is formalistic, I like looking at it, there are lines and antithesis in texture, which I love! If you need a change try fixing the levels adding some clue color. B&W would not be so ineteresting!!

It's cool and a bit confusing - that's why i like it, but i agree with patrick - the grass is a bit disturbing and should have at least been desaturated in my opinion.
