Thanks Todd for your recent comment. Great shot here, the height where you were positioned & angle of the sun lenghtened the shadows. This would really be awesome w/o the divider but I still give it a thumbs up, you also got good abstracts.

this is sweet. i agree with aris michalopoulos' reference to andre kertesz. also, if you have the eye and the patience, great things can happen.

15 months ago as i was browsing usefilm i came across a nice photo of a biker,a tree and their shadows... i then thought that he who took that picture had a special photographic 'eye'... and images like this one here just strengthen my opinion... :-) -KT

What can i say than Wow! Great and rare photo. I think that only Andre Kertesz in 1930 did something similar so succesfully. Bravo!

a great shot! the unusual perspective and the disproportion of the objects and their shadows make me feel really odd, as if the world were turned over... I like the subtle shades of grey.

thanks for the comments...
as for the perspective, it was simple: i stood on a very high bridge early one morning and shot bikers and runners as they passed beneath me. it was not set up in anyway, it took only patience on my part.

Ha! Ha! Ha! A photographer with a sense of humor, or a comic with a camera??? I Like It A Lot!! Awesome detail, tones and contrasts and textures. The break in the wall seems to add height to the already tall shadows and gives the image a 3-D effect. Did you spot this or set it up? Either way it's WONDERFUL!
