A note to say have not forgotten - have tried to send file via gmail, but probably too big or my lack of knowhow. Shall try again soon.

Don't sigh. I feel sure he'll be back Maggie, just a rough patch life has dealt him of late. I'll go visit your blog soon and see what's new with you. Be well.

Nice tribute to HCB. This is one of my favourites of yours. But right now it reminds me of someone else who seems to be hibernating at the moment (gone) too. Another street shooter who we all miss terribly for his wonderful crits and view of the streets of Chicago. Sigh.

This site really rocks. I have been away too long. Got back from a trip to the prairies a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to catch up on everything since then. My blog from on my web page has some of what I have been doing, but I must email you soon. need food....

Dear Audrey, Hello. Thanks for the information. Well London's nice too. Haven't been for a while (the US dollar's SO weak everywhere) but we always stay at "Le Reserve" in the Broadway / Fulham area. They give us a good price plus I like being a bit out of the very center. Also good to hear about the new members idea. I wish Al would come on and let us know what's definitely in or out at this point because I feel a lot of decisions have been made so some people are spinning their wheels for nothing (I'm glad I knew quite quickly from Al that my idea about the rating system change wasn't going to happen so I didn't keep going over it again and again) Will also take a look at Marilia's Portfolio - thanks for her name. All the Best, Mark

Thank you Mark for your visit and nice comment. You'll be happy to know I've since been promised that 'the new members' idea will be applied :)

I have quickly visited your portfolio but will return with comment when time allows soonest.

Wish I do live in Paris, but homebase is London. However I do spend time in Paris/France as much as able.
Marilia Ferraz is another person who spends time there often - do go see her work.

Dear Audrey, a very nice tribute to HCB. A shame but It looks like all the great one's are now gone. I saw your comment on the "Party Time" forum under mine so I thought I'd take a look at your work - very nice.I also do mainly travel with some fashion and odd ones thrown in. I get the impression from reading some of your comments that you live in Paris. I was just curious because my girlfriend and I live there part time (have a small apt. in the 7th) Haven't been for awhile because of the very weak Dollar but plan to before the end of the year. Anyway, hope you can visit my portfolio when you have time. Take Care, Mark

the biker really does do a lot for this shot but even moreso the lines interest me... I see potential for an abstract shot here

One of my favourite places ever. I applaud you for going to such a well-known landmark and getting a shot that is well beyond the standard touristy snapshot. It has an understated frozen beauty to it, not to mention it looks so incredibly french! (I think that's more attributable to a well-dressed woman on a bike rather than the Louvre itself).

Glad you grabbed this photographic opportunity. It's awesome. :)

Thanks for your comment Audrey, you are a friend! I think I?ll go on posting, I have many photos to share with you and I like to know what do you think about.

This photo is splendid, a great tribute to HCB, I like the contrast between the ancient and the modern architecture, the leaving woman is very meaningful, maybe I would have liked more darkness, but this lighting is very quiet and relaxing, not sad, only a bit melancholy, really a fantastic image. Hugs Max

The pyramids are an architectural symbol for eternity, while the passing cyclist is but an evanescent moment. I couldn't think of a better tribute to HCB's art.

Here or in any other place.

In Transit In Transit   {K:29432} 8/6/2004
Legendary photographer who travelled the world for more than a half century capturing human drama with his rangefinder, was buried in a small village of some 60 souls in the Régional du Luberonon (France).
A painter
a film maker
a photographer

He will be remembered.

Well Seen!

Really like this Audrey. The cyclist makes this. Where's everybody else? Did you get up very early?

Great shot. The B/W brings it out.
