Stunning landscape. I don't think you missed the mark at all with this composition. Some see things differently than what the photographer sees and trys to portray. I see what you saw. The lovely earth tones of the field under a gorgeous sky. I think the tree adds much interest to the scene. This is a beautiful shot that you can be proud of.

i like this picture. the tree seems imposing over the empty field, but not in a bad way =)

I really like the openess of this picture. I think the composition is good, especially for the title. Plus this way you get the pretty fluffy clouds spread across the sky.

Lovely field of gold, soft serene sky, a fresh clear country day.

The color is wonderful. Yes, you might have gotten closer to the tree. Still, a good shot.

Just had a look at Sugar Creek Covered Bridge, and buddy, you know plenty! I'll try it that way next time I'm out there. The point for me was the color in the field more than the tree. I thought the tree added a bit of visual interest. Sometimes we miss the mark! :)
Thanks for the suggestion - very helpful.

Nice....I guess I would have gotten a ton closer to the tree, but what do I know.
