Hi Judith, Apart from the creativity and technical skills, I find the marking of the removed ring an excellent detail. It evokes questions about loyalty and the why, especially in combination with the title. A very good touch.
If you'd taken this shot leaving the ring on, I think it would've distracted from the actual subject, the shadow on the palm. That by itself would already been enough, but the detail of the removed ring is kind of confronting and a great touch! Superb shot, very creative!
