I love the color seperation of this shot and the darkness of the clouds, it gives one a warm to cold feeling. Great Shot.
BTW: Don't ever stop trying new things as you mentioned as those new things are what keep it fresh and interesting around here.

Thanks so much to everyone who has taken the time to comment on this image. I find it interesting that as of midnight, 5/12/04, I have received 4 times as many views on this sunset than on my other two posted images! I keep trying new things, but it seems that these sunsets get the most attention. I so appreciate the encouragement you give me to continue to look to the skies for new photo opportunities.

A very beautiful and 'natural' Florida sunset, Joann! I have to disagree with Les - I think the dark clouds add a wonderful contrast to the scene and, after all, that's what backlit Florida clouds look like! (I know - I take 'em all the time! :)

With the strong lines fromed by the suns rays i wonder if this picture might work better in black and white. I find the darkness of the clouds gives them the apperance of billowing smoke, and adds a disturbing element to the picture.
