About I'm off to work soon, so I thought I leave you here with some nice old mood! ;-)

I appreciate honest comments, and I'm particulary interested in how this looks on other screens than mine since I have changed it a little bit with conversion to sepia, level change and a little bit extra sharpening. Plus frame... haha... is the frame to "wild"?

Anyway, is it over sharpened? And is it over exposed? On my screen only the hand looks a bit too bright.

And you did have the same problem as I have. This photo is perfect on my screen, jsut a little overexposure on the hand. I don't see any detail in the white sleeves and just a few in the shadows. But overall the photo is perfect.

Hi Kristina, I like your version the best incl. the bench on the left. So you can see so many different opinions :) Its a very special nostalgic-mood.

nice sunday, *Pia*

P.S. thanks very much for all your comments and compliment :)

It looks right to me. It is contrasty, but I like high contrast. You have preserved detail in the whites which, to me, is most important. As an old slide shooter, I will always prefer to expose for the highlights and let the dark tones fall where they may.

I like the sepia toning ( very appropriate for the subject mood ), excellent contrast and sharpness. Yep, the hand is a bit too bright, but does not compromise the picture.
Very good composition and framing, Kriss!
Best regards ..... Lucas

Hi Kristina,
Although I'm late with my comments on this and other posts, I'd like to express my opinion anyway.
The sepia tones look great on my screensaver and suit the image very well. Great mood of past time and the subject is pretty interesting. There are a few things, though, that could be better. It's a beautiful composition but I would have cropped the stool on the left. The background is rather dark and the organ grinder's hand is slightly over exposed. Another thing is that I don't like the frame, but that's of course a matter of personal view
Never the less a great photo. What about this version?
Regards - Emgy

Very interesting picture which works well with the sepia toning. What is the little cart? Could this be an organ grinder?
Think though I'd crop out the piece of bench and clone out the modern thing to the right of the picture.
Maybe I'm a bit conservative but I don't like the framing.
Regards,
Graham.

Hi Kriss - This is very well done with nice framing and excellent contrast. I do not see the sepia tone on my monitor. I agree that the hand on top may be a bit over exposed but this could be fixed by reducing contrast just a bit.

Thanks for your comments on my images.

Hilsen - Bill

Kristina,
Wonderful picture, excellent coposition. I really like the sepia tones, and the detail. I don't think the picture is over sharpened. I do agree about the cropping out of the bench on the left. Overall I like this picture very much, I think you did a wonderful job.

Looks great old days photo, composition wise excellent choice of "B&W", to me cropping a bit in left side edge of the bench, a bit of brightness on the background, nevertheless of outstanding image, Saeed

The sepia toning suits this image extremely well, Kris.
I like the composition, though I feel the stool to the left is a little distracting to the eye.
Overall picture quality is excellent, though you were bound to lose a little background detail owing to the darkness of the shades.
Overall a very pleasing image.
Kind regards, Chris.
P.S. I like this frame effect (I've used it myself a few times!) but I'm not 100% convinced it works with this picture.

hmmm... I adore the flavor of the past :) nice shot. Indeed, the bench mey be cropped. Not to sharpened. Very good impression.

really nice old mood, kriss. the picture does not look overexposed on my screen here and the frame is ok for this scene. as carmem said, only the bench on the left and the sign on the right side behind him are a little bit distracting imho. what do you think of changing the perspective a little so that his face could be better seen? maybe you could shoot this from a little lower position...

greetings from rainy germany, have a nice weekend.

Honest comment: it ?s very nice... maybe I would crop a little in left side... that bench doesn?t helps very much...
But wonderful sepia tones and presentation
Kisses , Kriss!
