David, I find your constructive comments very helpful, and am most grateful that you keep coming back after your initial disappointment. I will certainly look for some cleaner, clearer less cluttered subjects. I hope that I am still able to learn!

beautiful... I love how pretty everything looks...
I think you should look for some "less busy" material. There is a lot of detail in these shots, which is why I can warm to them. Technically no problem at all. I wiould like to see you do some purer landscapes - The "Lake and the teahouse" images is a little "Less busy" It has some well define forground buildings that fram the lake and distant shore and that one is more appealing.
Much wider view than the Take two. Hard to tell because of changing weather conditions, but this one has more contrast and stronger shadows. I like the perspective of this one better, But that also depends on how one frames. Excellent shot.
For me, one of the strongest elements in this shot is the diagonal line made by the fence and flowers, and taking you right into the picture. As always, the colours are natural ("real"!! Grin!), the focus sharp, and the d.o.f. superb. Kind regards, Chris Good use of top left and bottom right 'golden points' too!!
