Good moon shot, Joann. The clouds help make the shot. What Gerhard and Taras suggest is correct in that it would bring out more of the moon's face; but, at the same time you would lose the cloud details. Next full moon, try it with your digital set to full zoom. ...Jimmy

Taras, thanks so much for the interpretation! I so appreciate the info and will put it to use next time I'm pointing my lens at the moon. Thanks again for taking the time to comment on my photo. I'm off to check out your portfolio.

Joann,
What Gerhard was trying to explain is that a shorter exposure on the moon will give you detail on its face. You will be able to tell the difference between the maria and the highlands even at this focal length, but a longer lens always helps.

It is to be photographed already very delightfully a full moon, butover the technical conversion it gives somewhat too say-takes a longerfocal length please shortly and exposes around to two values under themeasured value. You will be astonished, which comes out thereby.Greeting Gerhard

I thought I told you about my deal with God. He sets up the shot, I push the button, and He gets the credit! Seems to be working. Armando- Stay away from all forms of steaks. Eat more chicken. ( or was it a silver bullet??)
