Hi Antonio, Despite of what People say or how they rate, I think you created a very strong image. Mainly because it leaves a lot to the viewers imagination. A single object composition can, if done properly, evoke many contradicting comments. (Proven by what I'm about to say and Sergiu's comment) I think the just slightly off centered composition does the trick, (in other words, excellently composed), mainly, and I agree with Sergiu on that point, because it creates unstability, and raises questions. Why that chair, who was sitting on it? Why did he/she leave? Why was the chair left behind? A great shot, Outstanding in its simplicity.

My only comment would be that the black in the back of the chair is too flat; I think it could use some level of contrast. A minor thing, though. Great shot, my compliments, I'll put it into my favourites....)

Cheers,

Hugo

Thanks for your comment!
I put that picture up to hope someone would see the spot left and tell me what it is :)
I think this picture is a original idea, the chair at the middle of the square. It gives me a 'being alone' feeling. I would like to see a bit more of the square, but still no hard feelings, this way.. wonderfull photo!
Greets, Lex..

my eye wants to see the chair in the low-right third of the picture, not in the up-left one... putting the chair lower in the picture gives more stability to it (in the way thai it is put in this picture gives me a sensation of unstability); and about the chair being in the right part of the picture: human eye is used to read, to look at the picture from left to right... in the picture, the way the chair is put makes my eye to stop at the end of it; the human eye is used to see the space in front of the chair, not behind it. that's why I suggested the lower corner to the right.
