Aloha Orchid!
I see Jeff allready made a crop proposition; However I wanted to say I wolud personaly get rid of the people on the right! I also agree with Jeff about the panorama! However the people are very small and they do not disturbe the ever lasting beauty of a shot! Andrej

Great colors and lighting; excellent details. I agree with Jeff about cropping a bit of the sky in order to enhance the ruins and the Vesuvio; so, even if I like the original very much, I prefer the corrected version. Cheers, Paolo

Excellent historical shot. One can imagine what a lovely place Pompeii was before its destruction. Thanks for sharing your visit there. Regards, Jimmy P.S. Orchid, knowing that you like flowers, I posted what is one of first floral photos for you.

Hi Orchid, I so much enjoyed looking (and studying) this interesting and beautiful photograph! Thanks for the little bit of history. I've never seen this before, I found it very interesting. I love seeing the colors and textures of the ruins, etc. So nicely lit photographed by you! Very nice job, and your composition is great! (and the clouds co-operated beautifully didn't they?)

Hi!....Orchid : An excellent Photograph, of this Historical Place, I like the detail, and the colour, not a criticism, if you croppe the top of the sky, to just above the Clouds, you have a wonderful Panoramic View....However excellent as it is.....!!!
Regards: Jeff.
Ps: I am pleased with your comment: your right, I did dedicate, the Photograph to you, Orchid....Before I, uploaded It!.......Jeff!!!

Hi Orchid, this is a wonderfull picture from a fermilliar sigt. I stoot there once too, in Pompeii looking too the Vesuvius. It was a wonderfull experience but i had no camera than so i got no pictures of it. This is really wonderfull one, you caught the killer from the city and the old/gone city in one picture wonderfull. The sky looks nice and quite, maybe on the day of destruction a Man/Women from Pompeii stood there too looking to the Vulcano not knowing what was going to happen, right on that spot where you stood too! Crazy idea! Superb photo, my compliments! 7+++ Greets, Lex

Hi Orchid, Reading the very intersting background, the composition falls completely in place. It creates an atmosphere where the ancient city and the disaster of 79 AD with the rain of ashes from the sky that eventually buried the city are put into retrospective with the clear blue sky of 2001. An excellent combination of past and present. Very well done, my friend! Outstanding work....
Cheers,
Hugo
