Really cool image with the mirroring. Great capture of the driftwood itself too. Well done!

Thank you all for your kind comments. I'm attaching the original so you can see where this image came from. It was mirrored from a rectangle cropped from the center portion of the bottom edge. Nothing was drawn or painted in- all of the detail of the 'face' came from underexposed elements in the shadowed area at the bottom. Colors and details were amplified in PS, and the rounded shape came from darkening the exposure with the brush tool. Magic or manifestation?

David, This is absolutely stunning ! I have done some mirror imaging with water falls and love to look at the faces and creatures that are created when this effect is used. You have inspired me to try this on driftwood, once all the snow disappears. I am definitely adding this to my favorites. Congrats on a fantastic photo. Dave

David, this is an amazing image, I've been staring at it for a long time. The face at the top reminds me of a totem pole... with wings!! I can't start to tell you how good this is... the textures and the mirroring effect are really stunning indeed Cherie Pie :) p.s. beautiful tribute too

very fine and a better epitaph than many conventional monuments evoking the skull and all nature's spirits inhabiting it
