Sooo adorable!! I was just wondering if I had even been through your whole profile & came across this. Snored the afternoon away, typical dog. So sweet!

Paul, nice perspective here - I like the 'take' and eye - motion, blur, etc...all works - oh by the way ISPI (sp) in Anne's portfolio to get the effect - use "threshold" in PS...continue to experiment. Regards, Cindi

p.s -- what a great name for a dog.... makes me laugh! He seems like such a ham as well. (or is he faking being a ham? hahahha) Great pose and angle!

Great shot of the napping dog. I like how its head isn't quite in focus. Good work!

Great DOF on this shot. I like the interpretation. Did you try any with the head in focus and paw out? That would be my choice, but this one is good. Thanks for taking the time to comment on so many of my photos. Now I will return the favor...

You're close, Dan. What you're seeing is the result of heavy noise reduction, as the original image was shot ISO 800, and quite grainy. I used some software (Neat Image) to remove the grain, and probably went too far.

Paul, this one seems a little out of focus (I'm having a hard time telling for sure, just get that impression? Maybe it's the lighting??? Something seems just a little off..?). I really like the shallow depth of field, but most of all I like the composition and angle (OUTSTANDING!!!). If you could get the focus sharp, I think you'd see lots higher ratings and have a better photo. I know that I've tried this kind of stuff with my cat (without a flash) and run into similar challenges... Nice portfolio too and thanks for the comment! Regards, Dan
