Ronnie- glad you made the effort and the result is well worth it (I too tend to get excited by fog and other forms of bad weather).
This is a starkly beautiful and well balanced shot with just enough depth added by the sheen on the ice to not appear flat. Nice exposure and composition.
A well deserved EC in my opinion.
