Thanks Kim I used the blurred filter blended with the original photo to keep some details then paint with a mask over the photo

Thanks, I used a cokin diffuser filter but for the final image a touch of photoshop was also used. The arboretum is in Bedale,Yorkshire, Northern England I used a long exposure time and velvia.

I agree that this whole image glows with vibrant colours and is an excellent shot of a fall setting. Love the picnic table on the right.... adds a new element to an already gorgeous shot.

Another really beautiful image,which soft focus filter did you use?Was it one of the cokin series :pastel,diffuser or what exactly?Your photo of the Arboretum (where is it?)is great,the composition is brilliant,really well thought out. Did you use photoshop to maximise saturation or was Velvia enough?
