About I was waiting for light to change to enter freeway in Vancouver when I really noticed the sky. It reminded me of a picture by Courtney Milne. The small white puffs look like popcorn exploding from a popcorn machine. It was late dusk when I shot this.
I included the light standards to include Earth. Looks like a small rainbow at bottom right.

Knowing the Vancouver traffic scene, I can't believe you got on the top of your car, while waiting at a light! Good on you! I like the light posts... all of them. I agree about losing the little patch of hill or land that's in the right corner, though. Way to go the distance!

I love the shot, it's a beautiful sky. But I think I love your description of how you got it even more. Have we exported road rage to Canada now? oh my :)

this shot's a blast les, if there was anything I'd change, I would crop off the solid dark bit at lower right. Make it just clouds & lights. FAB H:)

a sunset without a few clouds is almost a wasted sunset...these are the best kind of clouds. way to fight off the angry indiginous types to capture the moment!

I purposely wanted the lights in the shot. As you can appreciate, there was not much time to take the shot. I could not use a tripod as there was a line of cars behind me. Passers by on the right must have thought I was crazy as I sprawled on the top of the car roof to keep my hand steady.
The rainbow is no doubt lens spot. It rains a lot out there in Vancouver eh! If I got more of the earth, I would have brought cars into the scenario and I framed so as not to include them, especially the cars with drivers extending a left finger salute. Road rage is rampent on the freeway.

Cool cool cool. My only comments are about the crop. I am a bit distracted by the light in the UPPER left of the frame, which makes the image seem unbalanced. Is this the entire image or do you have more that was cropped from the sides? If so, I'd like just a sliver more on the left to include the entire LOWER light.

OK, I'm fickle. But I am sure that I love the light and way you saw this image. Great way to spend your time idling in the car!!
