Hi Klaas Jan, Iceland's very impressive. I remember the grim looking beaches on the south coast of Iceland very well. I took a few specifics of this ara, but I like the overview in this one. Well captured. I feel a bit ambiguous about the bird, though. Although it is a nice addition to the image, and I agree something would be missing without it, the bird's pretty close to the brownish red spots, which is, IMO, not the best location. A more prominent place, against the water, probably, would've pushed the impact of this shot even more, I think.

OOOOOh...... such unusual color for a beach.... I want ot go there! I haven't see this type of shoreline before. I am confused by the perspective.... you must have been in an airplane. OK it's Iceland... but please specify.
