I take your point about avoiding the lengthy narrative ? this is a spontaneous and charming shot and that?s all that matters.

Dennis...Thanks for the "How ya doin'?" on my pic in the mirror and all. Sorry it took so long to get back to ya. I have had quite a life change...anyway...I love this pic. Happy to be just anywhere....smile no matter the destination. A bit ironic...a bit clever/funny... "Eat At Cap'n Pat's"---"Walk Past the Yacht Club" and see how the other 1/77th lives! I like this a lot. And is that a little shovel or some such near her leg??? As for John Prine...he was a heavy influence on Art Alexarkis of Everclear. If you are not afraid of the music company police...download the Everclear song "Thrift Store Chair"

to ginger - "...No, we're not the jet set We're the old Chevro-let set There's no Riviera In Festus, Missouri And you won't find Onassis In Mullinville, Kansas No, we're not the jet set We're the old Chevro-let set But ain't we got love..." we liked that John Prine song, the riverfront, well, was not as exciting as the sign suggests so on the way back we had to snap a "tourist shot". Apart from that I like the picture because it is an honest depiction of a large part of the south - kind of the flipside to Cathy's images.

I'm packing my bags even as I write- Montgomery here I come. I like this image. I think it is the composition that is throughing Cathy off. It is very tourist infront of the eiffel tower etc. like. This was no doubt intentional?

To Cathy - Well that's my girlfriend, a southern girl, and there we are visiting Montgomery's exciting riverfront. I guess there's something more than that in this shot but if I try to explain it it might sound like a social statement - and I don't care to make one. Thanks for your interest -d
