About Some flowers will bend. The soil will drain the heavy waters; the drops will dry in the weak sun.
Another storm will come. Another sun will follow.
My garden.

P.S. O cachê para poder fotografá-la... :))))

it is just one of those images that speaks volumes about your eye and capacity to previsualize something that others might miss. even the less than perfect subject here speaks to the stunning visual impact. i tried something like this last summer and was not pleased with my results. i now see how it could have been done better. great lesson.

Bellissima e delicata come sempre!

Some people have to travel the world around to get beautiful pictures. You just have to go to your garden :)

We need the storms as well. They clean up the air. Thanks Marilia ... *hugs*

SONETO
Ouvi,senhora,o cântico sentido
Do coração que geme e s'estertora
N'ânsia letal que mata e que o devora
E que tornou-o assim,triste e descrido.

Ouvi,senhora,amei;de amor ferido,
As minhas crenças que alentei outrora

Eterno pegureiro caminhando,

Revolvo as cinzas de passadas eras,
Sombrio e mudo e glacial,senhora,
Como um coveiro a sepultar quimeras!

Eu e outras poesias (Augusto dos Anjos)

I completely subscribe the wise content of the previous commentaries.
Yes, the sun rises and the sun sets. This is the natural cycle of life, that makes to smile and to cry at the same time.
Great beauty and sensitivity. Garden and gardener are amazing.
Hugs.

As Naty asked..."Where's the gardener?"...Here she is!
Simple, sober and beautiful moment.
(I'm smiling as I did for Tiro)

I see a figure in the upper-right-hand corner turned up accepting both sun and storm...they always pass - an endless cycle. As the author of Ecclesiastes would put it:

The sun rises and the sun sets,
and hurries back to where it rises.

The wind blows to the south
and turns to the north;
round and round it goes,
ever returning on its course.

All streams flow into the sea,
yet the sea is never full.
To the place the streams come from,
there they return again.

All things are wearisome,
more than one can say.

AND YET, THERE IS HOPE...

Tiro Leander   {K:19060} 11/6/2003
What a coincidence.. we're both uploading new pics today... That's one of the reason that this one is going to my favorites. But the main reason is that it's so absolutely marvellous - in my opinion, one of your best. Better leave the soul to the flowers.
