I agree with Jamie about the horizon tilt being a distraction. I also agree about the cool way the highway winds off into the distance, leading the eye into the skyline. I'm assuming this was taken from the Lake Shore Drive bridge from old McCormick Place to the new section?
I completely disagree with Jamie about the smog! Chicago doesn't have a smog problem as bad as say Atlanta or Los Angeles. It's a lovely city with lovely lake breezes. I invite Jamie to come visit our delightful city and enjoy himself immensely! ;-D
Hope you enjoyed your visit Bill. Next time you're in Chicago, contact me and we'll get the Chicago-area Usefilm contingent together for dinner. Any excuse to party!
Very clear shot Bill, the rain must have dampened the smog a bit. I like the way the highway snakes its way away into the distant city and the dramatic backdrop of the building and skies. Horizon is fairly out of whack and drops down a lot to the left and might work better with a tighter crop to remove the distracting building on the right.
