Yes it came out very dark. It was really dark outside and that was the effect. :( Sorry if you cant see it very well. I liked it though, overlooking how hard it is to see.. because thats how it really was outside. Very hard to see it. I captured the real look. Creepy almost.
Well, I think *I* get it, Samantha, even if Ryan doesn't. :-D You're playing with the old cliche opening of a gothic suspense/mystery novel, "It was a dark and stormy night...".
However, Ryan does have a point about the darkness and lack of detail. The concept is very good: menacing night sky filled with angry clouds, the gothic tower shrouded as a mysterious silhouette... I think a little more detail in this photograph is needed to provoke the image. It's a hard catch, but I think you can do it! I'm certain that there are many talented members of this website who can give you the technical advice on how to achieve this, but since I'm still learning myself, I can only type Go, Girl! Go! :-)
