This photo is originally a slide. Shown on our wall at home and then photographed that with the G2. Converted to greyscale as the original was almost one shade of dark blue.
Hey thats a pretty good capture from a slide, he looks very weary, tis a shame about the softness, you could try running it through Neat Image which has a feature for sharpening out of focus images, drop me a line if you want a hand.
The quality loss is quite visible, but you havent exactly taken the best possible steps to get it here. so I guess that leaves me to comment on the composiiton itself.
His body lanugage says he has been out too long, getting every last wave that came his way. But they're still there, maybe one last wave, to hell with rationality.
I love it. But last wave seems so dramatic. I hope it is the last wave from one day, and than it will be another day, and another, and so on... Regards.
