Harlan Your project is amazing,so is your curiosity and approach. Yes beauty can be found where you least expect it. Wonderful blue colour - and yes it is Inca gold as Marilia writes.
One day I say a flattened soda can lying in a shallow poodle. It was just after a heavy rainshower and the sun broke through the clouds. The can was lit by the sun and shining like a precious treasure. Absolutely magic. I had two or free captures, but with poor result. So the next they I was there again, trying to capture the magic. It had rained overnight and the poddle was now much deeper, and the treasure couldn?t be found.

Very interesting. This object really looks like something from BC years or something from Inkas - Magia etc.

What a beautiful colour contrast! It's very joyful work turning cans into Art, I think. Enviable! Five flattened cans are put beside your computer? Thanks.

My favourite colour.... GOLD!!! ;-) Extremely beautiful...in contrast...or maybe in harmony with the turqouise....... What a masterpiece... I am always impressed with these works of art you make out of objects...that most of us would not notice...if we walked by them....
Thanks for showing us a new world....

The composition created by the shapes of the squashed can create an entirely new creation, a cycloptic robot from flatland. Great texture and color. Fine find.

This looks like a Maya object... Hope my car had a better oil filter than this ;) Bye Max
PS: maybe MArilia is right, it's closer to an Inca piece :)

Harlan, A wonderful specimen for the can exhibition! Nice blue color, and the gold of the popped top is a certain plus. A CAN-id shot! I kill me! E-4865 Great stuff! About paying Kelly double the going rate! I get paid, she gets the monies, and the check book, I keep my Nikon! She is worth every penny and more! Kelly that is, not the Nikon. Comments~Thanks Harlan.

Looking at the image before reading the caption this was the part of some pipe that held a sack at the end for contents to spill into. Great series! Look forward to more. I love how you capture them and they transform into something else then they really are. Thats the beauty.

Harlan, I will never accept that this is an oil filter. This is an Inca piece of sacrifice. Dreaming still.. Great series, as always, my friend. Marília
