About One of my father's spherical pearls from Arabian Gulf.

"Pearl is a secretion formed inside the spherical shell of some types of shellfish and oysters are used as a jewel.

Such material is produced from cells of epithelial (in cloves in the wall lining of the shell in molluscs), a veiled fabric between the shell and the body, and excreted in layers of a sequence on the annoying body which are usually parasites in the case of natural pearls, and hanging in the soft tissue of the oyster.

Pearl Built from layers of calcite (calcium carbonate crystals) which stuck the layers together Concioline material (organic crusty material) and it's composition is similar to the Nacre, which constitutes the inner layer of oyster shell"
