The family have all done well under your Father's guidance my dear friend. I can barely remember mine, I was so very young when he was called up and later sent to the front. He was a concert pianist, such a waste. Take care Saad, best wishes, always ......Ray
Yesterday we had a national holiday in Poland; celebrating the victory over Soviets in 1920... but also for memory to all people dead in that time. August is also the anniversary of my granfather's death and my other grandfather's brother whom I didn't meet but I can be proud of anyway - he saved a lot of people during WWII... Just the thoughts after seeing this shot...
god bless their souls ,all those lost in battles, this very day I have dinned with my family at my fathers house,it is some four minutes walk from mine,I have preyed at his exact places where he was used to do his,and have remembered few funny things from his life, mainly his habits at dinning, he was such a fine man,he raised a doctor ,an architect,a lawyer, and a crafted blacksmith,a long with four of my sisters, all of them are housewives ,and he never write or read a word in all of his 73 year life. God bless them all. Saad.
Aah, a silent roll call. A poignant scene, highly emotional and very thought provoking my dear Saad. There is always death throughout the World at all times and our graveyards bear witness to this. The biggest sadness is the high proportion of unnecessary deaths in these modern times. Your composition just reminds me of my father's death in WWII and his grave in Italy. Wonderful mono tones my dear friend and excellent detailing. Cheers to you........Ray
