About A rather disturbing visit to the steak making business.

It's not that I'm deliberately trying to shock people all the time. I'm just doing things that are obvious to me. It's because the public doesn't understand my way of thinking that they get surprised. - Takafumi Horie

Hi Mirek, thanks for your support and kudos,
I have posted the full story and pics here: http://www.demotix.com/dashboard

The full sized images is here: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zZsZyODUM6g/SjQf7Duf0FI/AAAAAAAABTA/ox-7ZTuVhG8/s1600-h/_DSC3474.jpg

What the smaller image and dialogue fails to tell you is that the animal was still alive.

A bolt had penetrated the brain, but it's eyes still tracked and the blur effect is in fact the result of the animal moving it's head and neck away from me, and the knife that cut it's throat.
I could in fact hear the air rush out of it's lungs.

The 'cutter' for want of a better description, was on my right. I don't feel comfortable with these images at all but am I glad I did the photo essay.

regards

Bazil

Well done, kudos to You for tackling such a controversial subject. While there are many butterflies and sunflowers on this site Your shot stands out in the crowd. Not only the theme but I also like the way You shot this picture. There is zooming effect that doesn't allow attention to escape from the burst of blood from the slit throat. Amazing, the highest note. I only wish You posted the picture a bit bigger.

Bravo!
