Again such a pity that the thumb eats up so much of the quakity of this image, Dave! Really, I thought it was not very interesting when I saw the thumb, but today I clicked it, and I see that I waas completely wrong! The textures and the details in the girl's dress are perfect to me. And the exposure balance painted her as a three-dimensional subject, a real girl on the image! Alone the color and light transitions on her hair are a delight to see.
All that in such a well balanced composition with a good background for contrast and a special timing for the decision of the small lady. Just as if taken out of real life!

Thank you for your comment. It's a reposting of an old photo, showing my wife Rachel through the looking glass. Unfortunately she's now receiving chemotherapy for lung cancer, having received her 4th dose today. We have been promised (?) that after the 6th dose, in another 45 days, she'll be as good as cured. We hope that's true, but each dose also takes its toll...
