Oh my dear Marnie and Doyle I am so pleased that you, Marnie, are recovered from hospitalisation but so very sorry to hear of your Dad's death Doyle. I am glad that his passing was both peaceful and in the company of family.
Inevitably I still have my brother's sad decline as ongoing. It is slow but relentless but he is getting good professional care every day and all the family see him regularly. I am able to spend a little time back on UF and look forward to when you feel ready to as well my dear friends. Take good care of each other. My very best wishes are with you as always.......Ray

RAY ! ! ! !

My old friend! I hope all has been well for you and I'm always glad to see you around. Marny and my Dad went to two different hospitals 500 miles apart on the same day (months ago) where she had surgery and recovered...this shot is from her first trip back out. My dad was diagnosed as terminal and when Marny was permitted to travel we went to visit. He had seemed fine but the decline was rapid and relentless. He died a couple of weeks after our visit, peacefully, and surrounded by family.

Such is life my friend...and maybe it's time I picked up my camera again. It's been awhile!

Hope all is well in your world and with your brother. My thoughts were on you and your family from time to time as the days passed.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Hi to my dear friend Doyle....I have come back to UF and you appear to have gone AWOL. I shall only be appearing in a limited sort of way.
I love this shot with its great details and lovely tones. Not an easy one to take I am sure. Still, I have never known you to baulk at a challenge. Well done Doyle, hope you are not away too long. Very best wishes as always to you and Marnie......Ray

A bizarre creature & a beautiful shot Doyle, I love the colors and tone in this.
I understand that you took this through the glass and so lost some of the clarity, but I have to ask - where was the point of focus?

:) Hi Doyle...

The *Magic* of sea dragons... They are the most fascinating creatures with their robes of lacy camouflage... & when they look at you with those eyes, it's a little like *SHHH... Don't give me away*...:)

A hard capture indeed under the conditions Sir...:)

Fascinating splashes of color and odd shapes and texture. Lots of eye appeal! Good job of keeping the noise down at that high an ISO.

Thanks Joggie . . . True enough about the conditions . . . and they had blue lights to counter as well . . . but a bizarre creature! :)

What an interesting creature Doyle! (quite a pronounced mustache he has!). I appreciated the difficult conditions to take this image (thick glass and colour casts) which may explain the slight fuzzines and blue fringing. Thanks for sharing, a lovely image nonetheless!
