I don't think that the fly is too small. If you were shooting this for some scientific journal perhaps, but the way it is placed in the composition gives it scale and makes the photo so much more than just an image of a fly. The green is wonderful and because of the name you've given the photo, very appropriate. I like this so much more than a macro shot just to show the insect's details. The detail is amazing but this is more pleasant to the eye - a very creative cropping, very arty.
