A perspective through which I see my country; a conspiracy of unification of what was, what is and what is yet to be in "Dubai". A reflection of my identity, hence the mirror image of the buildings on the sea; The ripples representing the merge of both the past and the present and the space on the top right hand corner representing the future, what’s next, the future generation? I chose the foreground to signify the sea, as water is a symbol of clarity, purity and collision. The traditional architecture in the middle ground, the Barjeel houses showing our heritage. Followed by the Burj Al Arab, as it’s a well-known icon of the modernity in our country. Finally in the background the open space and blend between the sea and the sky, leaving the picture open for the future to unfold and fill it. Simply; my impression of my homeland, through a camera lens.
It is so nice composition of the reflection of the reality and your words about past. And this is one of the best examples which I saw when people speak about their homeland. I like this shot and in common impression it is so beautiful. All the best, Larysa.
