About Visibility was really poor - less than 2m, with a lot of sediment in the water. Using a strobe would\'ve been useless, so went with a fast film and natural light. Tough shooting conditions.

I was trying to emphasise how close these seals come by putting a slight blur on the nose, but for my liking it was a bit too much. However, the shot has good emotional appeal (people tell me) and has been used as a double page spread in a major dive magazine.

Considering the conditions that you were operating under I think it turned out great. For what it's worth the nose blur adds to the image. Good job.
