About There were many, many little creeks flowing from the heights of Mount Fitz Roy and feeding into the Rio Blanco. The Rio Blanco (White River) gets its name from the opaque glacial waters.

Collin thanks for taking the time to explain. I viewed your portfolio and noticed your settings, so next time out I will follow your advice. Only have a 2 stop ND filter right now so be acquiring more filters in near future. Appreciate the help. Debra

You're welcome. I am often after the slow shutter effect when I shoot landscapes. During the day I use either a 3 stop or a 6 stop neutral density filter combined with a small aperture (f16 or f22) to achieve the motion blur. At sunrise or sunset I use either a 2 or 3 stop graduated neutral density filter to hold back the intensity of the sky and allow exposure of the foreground. I look forward to seeing your results, your images are very good.
Regards,
Collin.

Great shot Debra. Nicely composed. I think this shot would also look good if you induced a slow shutter speed with say an ND8 filter to get motion blur in the water.
Regards,
Collin.
