When I rounded the corner, and saw the massive concrete wall, split in half by the sun and the shadow ... I was taken with the setting. The concrete also was scared from the elements, adding even more visual interest. The red sign in the upper left hand corner added the bit of color necessary to set the whole thing off. Then, it was just a matter of waiting for the pedestrians to come by and add a sense of scale to the subject area.
James, On the right side of image is in fact a giant door. It seems to me the door itself was about 12 feet tall, and there was another 5 or 6 feet above it of stationary glass. Quite weird and quite interesting. I hope all is well with you my friend. Best regards, Mark
good idea here mark. i've been thinking of trying something similar. by the way, that looks like a giant door on the right hand side. what is it? i cant really tell from here.
Hi Mark, I haven't been around for a while. Great to see your latest work! This one is brilliant, great sequence and excellent setting to catch the pedestrians! The red square is great in the corner and the concrete wall is beautiful, like an abstract painting. Even the half-and-half light & shade works great for bringing out the patterns. Best regards, Ina
