Kara, take away the leaf out of focus! (and go nearer to the flower).

Hi Doyle,
I will take your suggestions to heart and play around with the image. I like what you have done with it. I'm always somewhat amazed by how one object can be seen a countless number of ways. Enjoy your day! Kara

Nicely done Kara . . . The pose is familiar . . . Hmmmmmm . . . :)
I like the non-traditional shots on occasion and was happy to see that while you do have shots that are more or less common as to subject and composition (and there is a reason they are done frequently), you also have some unique shots too. Intriguing profile . . . addicted to photography . . . Sheeeesh (it's an idustry term - LoL!) I totally relate . . . kinda' like zen with light and glass!
I like this shot and don't have too much to offer by way of helpful critique . . . it might have a bit more impact if you adjust midtone contrast as (IMO) the detail seems to be lost to a degree in those lovely yellow petals . . . I alos would encourage you to at least consider a tighter left-side crop to make the image a tad off center. I attached an example I think it might be a tad more dynamic and a tad less static that way . . . but that's just my two cents worth. Overall . . . I think creative and well done! :)
