About The player in the light blue shirt is catching the ball now, unfortunately, I cut off his glove. He catches it but the runner makes it in safe. Perhaps a confusing photo, but am drawn to it...??? :)

It is too bad the kit is cut off but it is pretty cool he's up in the air. I wish we could see the kids face too.

Very good timing, all feet above ground, wish the leg on the left was in the frame as well, nicely done.

Good action shot, would have liked to have seen all the boy on the left's leg.

Yes, I agree, the glove would have "made" the shot. Unfortunately, I zoomed in too close and cut it off. Last year my camera had practically no zoom capability so this year I bought a new one with much stronger zoom, but my tendency has been to zoom in too close and cut off important elements. Working to find that happy middle ground! I am shooting with a digital, too. I kept the area to the right only because I'd wanted to keep home plate in the shot, though don't know how important that really is... Thanks for your comments.

As evidenced in your other action shots, you do have a good eye for the drama of the situation. This in particular is a good action shot.As a suggestion, is it possible to keep more of the left side on the frame (assuming it is on film)? It would have been nice to have the person falling positioned about 1/3 on the right side that way. However, such dramatic action shots happen in a split second. And it is not always possible to get in all of it on film. You have not mentioned what type of lens you used. Perhaps, a zoom wide angle lens such as a 24-120 or better is recommended. Later on you can crop the image (with all the action). I have also included another crop of your image. Though I too would have liked the glove.:)

It's a good action picture...the one thing that is missing is some area of sharp focus...the missing glove would have cinched it
