1. Yes it do look a bit soft.... may be because its not hungry nay more....
2. Could not understand why the eyes are not normal...
3. That is because it swam a bit into the water.
4. If you look in the throat area you will find water marks.... Moreover it shacked it's body to get dry may be that is one of the reason you could not find a lot of water.... The place where it was standing was wet.

Liked the shot but following observations pinching me a bit -
1. looks bit soft to me
2. eyes doesn't look normal
3. no trace of blood on/around face if just finished its meal
4. no water mark (just a single droplet i can notice along with i thing some green veg)if it just came outta water
