Thanks Pat . . . I did NOT get that message and I'm glad to see it anywhere. I've no idea why either was deleted since (I assume) both were not profane nor were they (IMO) anything more than an honest exchange between people seeking common ground. I have always had respect for you and your craft and never had any fear in speaking my mind . . . as you may have noticed. Nice to know you are the same.
Like you . . . I often find myself wishing for the ability to either edit or delete comments.
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle:
Last night I posted a response to the chewing out you gave me for my posting of the definition of the word, moderation.
It was a bit of an apology and an explanation that the posted was not meant as insult towards you. I had misunderstood your previous comment. Reading your comment on the fly, I took your words, not ‘any’, to mean, none at all, rather than your intended, not every. My bad.
At any rate, your post and my have both been removed and I can only guess you did not get to read my apology. So, here it is in a rather condensed form.
With that said, I do wish that they would have also removed my posting of the definition as well.

Dr. Springmann: Thank you for the very nice comment. Having driven along the California coast you, like me, realize that there are countless beautiful spots and it's difficult to make that trip without seeing them. i do, indeed, respect all living creatures. I enjoy them. Your complement about my depiction of them is quite kind. I think I will take you up on your invitation and visit your portfolio.
Regards, Doyle I <------

Uaually when I meet a new Usefilm friend I try to comment on the last photo that friend posted, the first one I saw. In your case, Mr. Chastain, I did the opposite because I'm familiar with the place on this photo, having driven along the Pacific coast of the US in 1992, from S.F. to LA where I was guest of some friends at UCLA. I looked at you portfolio & saw that like me, you're fond of many a living being, including humans, spiders, young & old, all depicted with love & precision in your photos. You are, of course, cordially invited to read my bio & pay further visits to my portfolio. In the meantime I thank you for your very kind comment on my "Mauve castle." Best regards, Rafi Springmann
