Great B&W landscape. A lot of great contrast and shapes to look at. Looks like an eerie magical environment. I think this would have been great in the moody landscape categorie also!!!! I really like this alot.

The tones and contrasts are great in this photo Dave. I REALLY like it...you caught the still waters perfectly too, since the trees seem to grow both up & down...great job!
I do have a question though...it looks almost like finger smudges all throughout the mid sky line...what is that?

Thank you, Michele. Gosh , you sure do get around. I was surprised when you said you'd been to Jamestown. I was actually lost when I found it.
This is overlooking an estuary (or backwash) of the Colorado River. Took the exit just before crossing into CA and braved going down a dirt road which thankfully was a park parking lot with a boat ramp. I was towing a show car at the time and always get worried when I start "off roading" with a trailer. This is probalby the only water you'll find around Needles as you know.
Getting ready to leave next week for a long photo trip: Denver, Boise, Vegas...

I've also been thru Needles, Ca. !! Memory lane here for me ! I have never seen it with this much water tho...Always been desert.... Nice composition and I do like the tones of blks & wht. and most of all the reflections and the sky ! Nice image !!
