You're right there, Michele...

The weather is crazy all over the world.

We do get plenty of thunderstorms and very heavy downpours of rain. Therefore we still get short term flooding in certain areas.

However, even with those big rains, the land is hard and rain basically rolls right off... does not have a chance to sink into the soil to replenish it and the life it is struggling to maintain. What we would ned is soft steady rainfall for rather long periods of time.

Our farming community in particular is having a very hard time of it.

I yabber on too much... lol... sorry about that! :)

Warmest Wishes,
Aniko :)

A fantastic capture Michele!!!

Sad to hear you are experiencing flooding, whereas here in Australia we are begging for rain to overcome the long-standing drought of some 10 or so years!

You really did such a fine image here! Fabulous textures and tones.

Warm Wishes,
Aniko :)

Thanks jessie and I am glad you are not flooding and safely contained in the lake .

I hope it stays that way .... I know that little piece of grass , or something is always in the way ,ha!!

10 days of heavy rain jessie...more rain in 8 days than an entire season in Oregon , You know that is a LOT !

i hear you on the water everywhere, but ours is safely contained in the lake. if you had that little pc of grass out of the way, it would be really awesome!! i esp like the small floaty things. :)

I actually have worked on the cropping you suggested on the bottles image ...the old bottles.. anyway I was going to post it this afternoon... because my 'tutor' had suggested it .. !

Thank You for keeping in touch as You are also learning new things in a different level than this Grasshopper ! LOL !

Regards,
Michele~

Uhhhhhh . . . ok. Let's see. It looks like . . . uhhhhhh . . . Grass in water . . . NO, make that wet grass AND water . . . uhhhhhh.
Well Michele . . . you know me by now and I simply HAVE to be honest with you. You wouldn't want it any other way! And this shot is COOL! You can see the surface tension of the water at each grass entry point, perfect color . . . strong diagonal comp . . . Off-center interest points....... I think the ratings it has received say it all. It's supposed to look like wet grass . . . but it forces us to look at something which would be passed by many without a second glance . . . and see the inherent beauty in nature. You even managed to pull in a graduated reflective water surface from the top left to the bottom right corners. Excellent work Grasshopper! :)

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~
