Yosemite is certainly a national treasure. We stayed at the Ahwanee Inn, which is a wonderful lodge with a dining room with 20 foot tall picture windows that faces Half Dome [see a later photo here]. It is noted for its summer "Fire Falls" [a cascade of burning timber shoved over the edge that resembles a flaming water fall]
The Curry company that operates the park facilities is now owned by a Japanese corporation, who also owns MCI [Universal Pictures]. They also own the famous Pepple Beach Golf course in Carmel, Ca.
