About This long I was away from UF, I was thinking about photography and I took shots occasionally, and now, I think very different about photography, now, I think it's more about the concept than colors, tones, composition, light and so on, for example, this shot I've took in my last vacation, it's the Formation of my mind right now, I'm 25 and I'm dealing with matters much more than I can comprehend, for instance, photography itself.
anyway, don't blame me for my constant absenteeism, this long I was away and I will be again, just to say Hi to my friends, share a little concept with you.
Tell me about your thoughts about this art not this work.
I think, this art (photography) is far away from conceptual art these days, involving in Eye catching matters like good contrast, composition and so, leaves no room for concept. Maybe I'm wrong, so please discuss, I will be glad to hear about, thanks in advanced.
Maybe it looks really ridiculous to dedicate something to myself, but this shot belongs to my mind itself!
Thanks for stopping by, Mohammad

Absolutely, Mohammad, I agree that you use technique to accomplish the artistic vision, all I'm saying is that it helps to have it - not as an end goal in itself, but to support and perfect what you are trying to express. Like trying to write a poem - the more skilled your language is, the better you can express yourself.

Dear Ina,
I didn't mean to ignore the technical skills, but I think techniques are just tools not goals, some of us just trying to show off our skills, it's nit the right thing, we must use techniques as a tool to express our inner feelings.
I know a master of art who believes we use our art to satisfy the needs of technique, but I believe we must engage the art to satisfy our feelings.
Anyway thanks for your nice words,
Mohammad

Very dynamic and moody picture, it really shows the forces of Nature. I understand your concept and agree with your ideas of emphasizing photography as art, even though art is also a trade, where good technical skills are important. Congratulations :) Ina

My dear Ken,
one of true loves in my life is Clouds. I do love them and always try to take them in to shots the best way I could. but, sometimes I got ideas before taking them, for this one, I knew that I want all that explosion, but, if I did not have that mount (that's a high mount not a hill!), there were no Comparator to show the greatness of that cloud.
"Leaving no room for concept" is the way I find most of photographs, unfortunately. as I said before, photo techniques is taking the place of what we knew about this art in past. we (me too) are taking shots with best equipments that peoples ever had before, but, we are far away from taking photographs which are truly an Image, a moment in the time. we are just taking Light, not the objects, we, no more think about the creativity we need to take unique shots, all we got is Softwares, they can do anything you want, but, most of photographs formed out there, not in Laboratories. that's what I call leaving no room for concept. and about that 10% of composition, you are right, if I've cropped away, now, I couldn't talk about any concept, every tree has roots, clouds far away from earth have no works with humanity! think about it.
My bests,
Mohammad

Imageopolis Featured Photo Critique I like this shot. I also appreciate your comments about how you are viewing your art. To me, what I call "strong graphics" is important in a photograph. I see photography as a way to reveal these graphical images to the viewer. Photographs without such characteristic, I tend to find either busy and cluttered, or bland. Photography becomes a way to see elements of reality in a new way. That doesn't mean it needs to be completely realistic, although I like the work of the f/64 group a lot too (super sharp nature shots).

This picture has those strong graphic characteristics in the upper 90% of the frame, which, although obviously clouds, is fairly abstract and very attractive. I like including the bottom 10% to give the picture more context. If you wanted to develop a style that lost the context almost completely, a picture like this would also work. While you can't just crop out the hills in this shot to achieve that without destroying some of the graphic effects, you are on the right track if that's what you want to achieve. By leaving "no room for concept" do you mean images that looks something like the attached alteration of your image? I apologize for doing so; it's just a respectful attempt to better understand your art and vision.

Dear Mohammad, I do not understand what you mean by playing games, I do not play games here or being against any one, its just the way I express my self towards what I view on this site, I also do not care if some one on UF trying to make fool of you for a little of donation.

Photography is a fine art based on talent and skill; I do not thing this image having anything to do with photography.

I love creative work related to this media but not by viewing this image at all.

Please have my best regards and do not expect me to varnish your day for something you do not deserve.

Dear Mohammad,
great choice for black and white, gives another gray tone and makes a picture dramatic and more sensitive. That sky seems like a light of Godīs eye...still watching us. Great image and well taken, like it a lot.
Kind regards to you
Olga
