many of the walls here are aged and weathered giving them all a great texture for photographing! lots of character in the inanimate here... thanks for commenting

thanks jon...i actually did very little manipulation of the image, including leveling it out a bit and some curve work, but no desaturation. thanks

the wall that the blue door is a part of almost feels like a landscape giving it a great illusion of depth. nice disquieting quiet moment.

Very interesting use of contrasts - texture and tonal. I had to look at this a bit before I saw it as a door in a wall - my first impressions had to do with water and reflections. Have you desaturated the wall on this one, or is this as seen?
